The "Broad Strata"

From the Globe and Mail:

From an unmarried computer programmer to a university health sciences graduate and the unemployed, the 17 suspects charged in a foiled terrorist plot represent a “broad strata” of Canadian society.

“Some are students, some are employed, some are unemployed,” RCMP assistant Commissioner Mike McDonell said Saturday.

Have we become so terrified of being labelled "racist" (or any other like adjective) that we can no longer call a "spade a spade" (are we allowed to say that anymore?).

Some might be students, some have varying degrees of employment, but all are (alleged) Islamic extremists.

There. Somebody had to say it.

Mr. McDonell - take note. Unless you're willing to properly identify the enemy to the public, then that enemy has already won.

  • The PC crowd will hate me for this, but up theirs....

Here comes the next trend that has already begun in Holland, France, Australia & recently the USA. The end of multiculturalism and a further impingement on your freedoms and mine thanks to the reign of the Flower Children who created this problem. I do not believe in multiculturalism as a national directive. It has never worked for long. Anywhere. Define "Nation" and you see that multiculturalism creates a paradox.

Unfortunately I missed "The Enemy in our Midst" which aired on....ready for it...the CBC of all networks. People are only now realizing there is a problem with allowing mass hordes of people with values contrary to your own to immigrate without assimilation into our society. The push for Sharia law is only the latest attempt by a recently arrived ethnic group at changing Canada to suit themselves. I liked the Canada I was born into, the Flower Children apparently did not. Trudeau lowered the bar for our New Canadians and left the barn door wide open. Maintaining a population base is one matter. Why did we artificially need to increase our country's population when things were fine? And from what kinds of people? We fast tracked liars, cheats, qeue jumpers and turned away or frustrated honest applicants. Is it a flawed pyramid scam for tax revenues, or simply a means of increasing the Liberal voting base and undermining the status quo?

The backlash is just beginning around the world. In Holland, the banning of women wearing burkas (sic). France, no religious symbols. The US, learn English or else. Australia, love it or leave it(been done before). I lean in favour of the US and Australian efforts. Forbidding and restricting people is not what our Veterans fought for. They fought for freedom and the retention of the Canadian cultural values of their day. The Flower Children thought they knew better....and now we are faced with the daunting task of cleaning up their mess...and losing even more of these freedoms in the process.
